I never knew that I would be so sentimental about all of our son’s “firsts”…The transition from bottle to sippy cup, crib to big boy bed, crawling to walking, and now his first swim lesson. This coming from someone who didn’t know they wanted kids!! I’ve learned to really treasure the changes and moments and be sure to photograph them! It all goes by too fast, having a second one eases the pain a bit!! On my website I have a section called “firsts” There are images from some of the milestones that we as humans may go through. These don’t necessarily have to be children but “first” moments at any age…. I think I may add my own son’s first swimming lesson to the work. Please share your firsts with me….I would love to capture them!

Keeping my business growing as my own belly grows too. Thank you to my friend Cristina who took this shot of my baby #2 as it grows! I recently got a call from Quayside Publishing Group. They had found an image I took of a “barefoot runner” during the Long Beach 2002 marathon. A book that will be titled “Lessons from the Guru of Barefoot Running” will be published this May. This local Long Beach runner (Ken) will be the focus of the book. Here’s the photo they found which ran in the Long Beach Press Telegram who had hired me to shoot the marathon…..

Ok…many months have passed and I haven’t posted. The holidays, some travel and finding out that we are pregnant…was a little distracting! The following is from a shoot back in October. Time Warner hired me to follow along on with the Conan O’Brien crew while he visited the cable company. This full day was spent “training” Conan on the pole, talking with TW employees and visiting TW customers. The sketch ran during the first few weeks of Conan’s new show on cable. He was a genuinely nice person and very funny all day ! Here’s a few of my favorites!

David and Melissa were married at the Silver Rock resort in Palm Springs. Beautiful venue..everything was outdoors and the weather was perfect!

Every year I photograph Pediatric Therapy Network’s annual Halloween Ball. This is a huge fundraiser that raises money for the non profit organization. “Pediatric Therapy Network is a non-profit children’s therapy center founded by therapists and parents committed to providing quality services for children with special needs. We are dedicated to professional excellence within a family-centered atmosphere, built on a foundation of dignity, respect and integrity.” They are a wonderful organization to support.
In addition to photograhing the ball I have spent a lot of time documenting the work done at the center, including a multi-media presentation. More images to come of the organization in the future! To learn more about them….
