Every year I photograph Pediatric Therapy Network’s annual Halloween Ball. This is a huge fundraiser that raises money for the non profit organization. “Pediatric Therapy Network is a non-profit children’s therapy center founded by therapists and parents committed to providing quality services for children with special needs. We are dedicated to professional excellence within a family-centered atmosphere, built on a foundation of dignity, respect and integrity.” They are a wonderful organization to support.
In addition to photograhing the ball I have spent a lot of time documenting the work done at the center, including a multi-media presentation. More images to come of the organization in the future! To learn more about them….

Once again I had the opportunity to photography City Year LA”s opening day ceremonies, fall of 2010. Always a fun event including a lot of energy and fun! City Year is a non-profit organization that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service, giving them the skills and opportunities to change the world.

According to City Year’s site, “As tutors, mentors and role models, these diverse young leaders help children stay in school and on track, and transform schools and communities across the United States, as well as through international affiliates in Johannesburg, South Africa and London, England. Just as important, during their year of service corps members develop civic leadership skills they can use throughout a lifetime of community service.”
Together we’re building a citizen service movement that is larger than our organization, our lifetime, and ourselves”
The following images celebrates the opening of another year of service.

As always, I’m behind on my posts. Better late than never! Recently I had the opportunity to follow Congresswoman Jane Harman around for a day and then was invited back to cover a press conference….here’s the info…(happened in Los Angeles)

Harmon0721 Washington, DC – Rep. Jane Harman (D-Venice) today lauded the award of a $154 million federal grant for the LA-Safety Net of the Los Angeles Regional Interoperable Communications System (LA-RICS).
It is the single largest grant of its kind in the nation. The LA-Safety Net will provide instantaneous communications among the region’s 34,000 first responders, giving them access to the Internet, databases, broadband communications with 9-1-1 call centers, real-time video streaming, medical telemetry and more. It will benefit 10 million residents within a 4,000-square-mile jurisdiction.
