I am so excited to announce my partnership with the Pediatric Therapy Network, located in Torrance, Ca. They selected my photography to represent the “vision” portion of the five senses! I will be donating a portion of my portrait packages when you book an appointment through their website;
I have been fortunate to work with the talented staff at PTN for the last six years. I have documented therapy sessions as well as their outreach programs. This partnership came out of the work I did in creating a multi-media slide show with images from therapy sessions as well as recorded interviews from parents of children who are benefitting from their services.
In January of this year PTN created the “Sensory Partners Program” to increase awareness in which the sensory experiences enrich our lives, and also how these sensations can create challenges for some individuals. The sensory integration program works with the children who struggle to process all the input they receive through their senses. This in turn helps the child to better comprehend their surroundings.
In addition to speech and physical therapy, PTN offers occupational therapy for children. Occupational therapy can include play, learning and socializing with friends. The therapists use the “occupation” of play to help children develop skills to become more independent. This announcement coincides with Occupational Therapy Month, and I’m excited to be a part of the celebration!
Below are images from actual occupational therapy sessions where children are working on sensory integration.

I love when clients like different locations! Here are some images from a recent shoot of 4 year old Charlotte and her 9month old brother Tres aboard the Queen Mary, in Long Beach…
So happy that I finally got to meet Catalina. She is the 7month old daughter of a former co-worker at CSULB and we’ve been talking about scheduling a shoot for about hmmmmm 7 months! This is probably one of my favorite ages to shoot…so much expression!

Another newborn! 13 day old Evelyn and her big Sis Audrey…congratulations!

I got a call as I was leaving town that one of my favorite clients was in labor! She wanted to make sure I was available to take newborn photos because her baby arrived about 5 weeks early! I always like to photograph infants within the first 2 weeks of life because that is when they are most sleepy and easy to place in interesting positions!
Abbie arrived early and healthy! Two weeks after she entered the world I photographed her at 4 1/2 lbs! Congratulations to her amazing parents Isabelle and Bill!!! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special time!
One of my favorite jobs each year is to photograph the kids at the 2nd Happiest Place on Earth, a daycare and pre-school located in Long Beach, Ca. Here are a few favorite images from the candid shoot of the kids in school and enjoying the park…

Isabelle and Bill hired me to shoot their wedding many years ago, and since I have photographed several weddings of their friends! Now I was invited to photograph them as they embark on their next exciting adventure….parenthood! They will be amazing parents and I’m so excited to meet (and photograph) their baby girl…coming in 2012! Congrats you two!

I’m trying to keep up with posting all my current client shoots….here’s a few favorites….

Having some fun with my fall semester Cal State Long Beach beginning and advanced students…..

I’m very proud of my three year old for taking this image of our dog, Casanova. Casanova has been recovering from a massive spinal cord stroke leaving him temporarily paralyzed. He is up and running now, and my little guy was able to capture this great image when he was resting!
